What do you do when you find a property on a tropical island that’s right beside the sea? Snap it up and build a home that allows you to enjoy the beauty of the vista around you. For this house, Claire Ownby did just that – by coming up with a seaside estate that opens up to the beauty of its surroundings. Inside, high ceilings and an open air plan combined with lush greenery and plush velour seating make for a comfortable living area. The bedroom opens up to the outside through folding panel doors, while transparent glass doors in the bathroom give a spacious effect. The contemporary style kitchen features an island with black granite countertop and bar seating. Outside, an open air gazebo with open beam ceiling and marble flooring provides shelter beside the man made pool.
